I can’t let this week go by without recognizing National Nurse’s Week! Much like teachers, nurses do more than they’re given credit for. Thanks to all the kind and compassionate nurses all over the country! There never seems to be money to reduce class sizes; hire more teachers, counselors, psychologists, librarians or nurses; or to properly stock our classrooms; things that actually work… but to hire Consultants? There’s always money for that. This week we honor 2 professions that don’t get enough acknowledgment if you ask me, Nurses and Teachers. People love to shit on both of them, but where would any of us be without them.

I know I couldn’t do either job, and I’m happy to say that the people I know in both professions are amazing people. Nurses do more for you than most doctors and teachers put up with all of your kids all day long and I don’t know which is tougher, but like I said, I don’t want to do either job. So stop shitting on teachers for having the summer off! You couldn’t do that job if you wanted and having the summer off is their reward for putting up with your shitty kids. And nurses, without them my mother wouldn’t be here bc they were better to her than all the doctors she saw, so I appreciate them more than most. Enjoy your week!! You’ve all truly earned it
