The new Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker teaser ends with a surprise, to be sure… “but it may not be a welcome one.” TO SAY THE VERY LEAST! I was there at the opening of A New Hope, and I’ve been at every opening night since, I have passed on movie knowledge to kids since 1979, and my memorabilia collection is a museum piece. If this ends as rumored by my students, I will have spent my life waiting on a huge disappointment.

Based on what we know of dark hooded figures from Star Wars’ past, the figure seems to be evil. At the end of the trailer, we learn that it’s Rey — and she’s holding a double red lightsaber.”
Wish we saw a pike lightsaber sort of like the staff she has in epi7. Thought they could have utilized that amazingly. I thought that’s where they were going with her lightsaber design, but then she just picked up Anakin’s. Patrick Bodendorfer yeah man I feel this whole trilogy is a missed opportunity to make something truly different (in a good way) and epic. Also, considering the whole plothole of Rey magically gaining saber combat experience through Snoke, I don’t think it’d be impossible for her to build a saber.
