“So very BLESSED, THANKFUL and GRATEFUL to still be here!”. Anna credits screening–and her family–with saving her life. “Always have your mammogram done. Never think that if no one has had a type of cancer in your family that you can’t get it.” We love the picture! “My life revolves around my cancer, but does not control my life!”. Karen was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2009. After a period of remission, the cancer is back in her kidney and lymph nodes in the neck. Leave Karen a message of support in the article’s comments and let her know to keep fighting!

No one can deny the mother-daughter bond. This story about a mother and daughter’s “buddy system” in getting mammograms –and the ensuing cancer–will make you laugh, cry and appreciate this “girl power x2.” “I learned a lot about myself and a lot about others also. But I made it, and I still have my mom. We are both being watched now. We go and squeeze our boobies then go eat and laugh our way through it.” – Chris Pictured: Chris’ daughter modeling her t-shirt.
