Self discipline can be used in so many effective ways that once we obtain it, it’s like NO TEMPTATION CAN BRING US DOWN. People who have discipline and self control are never found to even entertain a decision that is going to be detrimental to their life or health. Instead, they just automatically do the right thing just like its clockwork with no other thought to it. We all can be this way. However, self discipline and motivation within is just like a skill. A skill that developes over time with practice. We’re not just born with perfect discipline and self motivation. It is something that is either instilled in us by our parents or something we develope ourselves over the years.

Ways/Steps To Gain Self Discipline (Remember, these are tips from personal opinions, not from a professional): First things first. Pray. N I’m so serious about praying because I know that God will lead me in the correct direction and even put the correct habits and information in my spirit that I need to become self disciplined. If I pray for it, I know that he will grant it. Second, You need to know your flaws and weaknesses. You need to find out what it is that either stops you from gaining self discipline or distracts you from holding on to that self discipline once you get it. This is important to acknowledge because you ever heard the saying “The first step to resolving an issue is acknowledging it”?
Same thing goes for this. What is stopping you or tempting you? Is it unhealthy snacks in your home 24/7? Is it friends always asking you to go out to party every night that causes you to break your disciplined focus? But Is it social media/telephone games that you’re spending hours on that is breaking your focus from your self disciplined goal? Is it a tv and a couch that’s always there to help you be lazy and not work towards your goals at all? Figure this out and you’re one step closer to tackling it to get to that self discipline and motivation you want.
