Today my dearest mother would’ve turned a big 50. It’s a pity she didn’t live to see the day. I often wonder how she would’ve aged- that’s if she would’ve aged at all. On this special day, I do not only want to celebrate her. But every woman who has mothered me over the years to a complete, stable & loving adult that I am today. A lot could’ve gone wrong to a child who lost his own mother at the tender age of 8. I could’ve fallen into the loveless hands of adults who know no better but to harm & destroy. I was always looking forward to what she had to say the day after. My mom noticed that, so she encouraged me to study the major that I love, physics, despite having a high score in a high school that could let me join engineering, pharmacology, etc.”
