Last month, Helen celebrated her birthday and last chemotherapy session. Her partner, Phil, wanted to share their story. “2014 was a complete rollercoaster for Helen and me. In January, Helen gave birth to our first child, Lily, and was working as an intensive care nurse in the RAF at the time. A few months later, Helen was diagnosed with thyroid cancer and at the same time found out she was pregnant with identical twins. And January girl know more than she say thinking more than she speaks shirt. This was a very difficult time for us as I was deployed to the Falkland Islands, but thankfully I was flown back to the UK for her surgery.

Then, in January Helen discovered a lump in her breast which was revealed to be breast cancer. The twins, Robyn and Scarlett, were delivered four weeks early to allow Helen to have surgery and start her treatment. With Helen’s final chemotherapy session last month we look forward to the end of radiotherapy and a chance to move forward. We’re getting married in January this year and I can’t wait to see her walk down the aisle and become my beautiful bride.”
