Ever felt like the Ping-Pong ball in a heated match… bouncing between feeling like a good mom to a bad mom? With God we’re never a bad mom. We might be having a bad moment… or two… or 17. But a few bad moments do not define us. God’s grace is there to cover us. Teach us. And even in the middle of a bad moment, interrupt us, redirect us and change us. The past two nights momma bear has been up with the baby and daddy tosses and turns too much for her to sleep. What’s the only smart thing to do? Poppa bear needs to pull out the sleeper in the front den/guest room to give momma some good rest alone in their comfy bed! I’m a good momma I just cuss a lot shirt. The baby was fussy, the girls were fighting, and I had been trying to get the laundry done all morning and was getting nowhere- so I gave my phone to the girls to play on and Ellia snapped this picture, looked at me and said matter of factly, “you’re a good mommy.” I literally let out a laugh thinking about the chaos of the morning and my frustrated mom mood, how I had just finished yelling at them and was about to give up and just let them fight. And i know I’m a good momma I just cuss a lot shirt. I found this picture later on my phone and was reminded that the memories our kids are going to have one day are not going to be of how messy the house is. But of the moments we spend with them.

Good news! They removed my Mama’s feeding tube over the weekend, after she surprised everyone and began to show some improvement. And today they were able to release her from the hospital!… She has a long way to go, still. We are not out of the woods yet. But we were preparing for the worst… Thanks so much for your kind words, positive thoughts and prayers. Looks like they worked! Keep them coming!!!
