Today, the Bath Police Department went above and beyond the line of duty for my family, and I am not sure that we can thank them enough. My grandpa, who is a U.S. Navy Veteran and a former State Trooper, was placed in hospice this week for his end of life care. Today, we received a couple of visitors. The department sent out two officers to thank my grandpa for his service, and to bring him donuts! (Of course!) A simple thank you does not begin to show our appreciation for the department. When they left, my grandpa was smiling from ear to ear and talking about how awesome of an experience that was! Thank you for making one of his last days something to remember. You will never know how much that meant to him!

This is so cool! When my dad, who was a retired Royal Oak police officer passed away, a couple of young R.O. officers, who never even knew him, visited the funeral home to pay their respects. My brother, also a police officer, was so moved by their presence. Our entire family appreciated their willingness to honor a man they never even knew. Keep up the good work, Bath Township! Your thoughtful efforts do not go unnoticed! There’s something to be said for living in a small community; neighbor and friends mean the same! Blessings to all. Way to go Bath P.D.!!!! I too, would like to thank grandpa for his service as a veteran and as a police officer !
THIS IS WHY WE HAVE CAMERAS. At 2 AM this morning, this man decided to trespass on my grandparents property, cut down, and STEAL the American Flag my grandpa had hanging in front of the house. Why? I don’t know. Those of you that know my family would know that my grandpa happens to be a Navy Veteran! So when things like this happen, it is not taken lightly. That’s I have two titles Navy veteran and Grandpa and I rock them both shirt. This needs to be spread and maybe someone will know who this dude is by chance. Because Ernie Ray is mad and wants his flag back!
