Avengers Endgame is a celebration of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, perfect payoff to all the fans for their 11yrs journey with the MCU, completion of the arcs of the original 6 Avengers and a love letter to Robert Downey Jr’s Ironman. It certainly asks What’s the cost of being a Superhero(or just a hero)… Should a hero choose to the life he wants to live or should he take the responsibility of being the hero and execute them no matter whatever it takes… WHATEVER IT TAKES… PS: I know that it’s definitely not my best sketch(too many structural errors) but it’s okay… EMOTION IS EVERYTHING. I am a teacher unless the Avengers need me shirt. Get it!

Thor is high key the one character arc I take issue with personally. I think they used his PTSD for more of a joke which would’ve been fine except for the extent that PTSD defined Tony Stark in his life. I didn’t like seeing it as a joke either. It would have been more captivating to sit with him in his angst and elicit empathy from the audience. Their attempt at drawing us into his pain just felt awkward to me. This is the first time I’ve ever finished a Nerdist article and scrolled back up to see who wrote it. Great job, Lindsey Romain. I loved this. I liked Thor’s change, I just hope he gets back into form. Obviously they played his trauma as a joke and a lot of people aren’t cool with that, but ever since Thor 1, his ongoing arc has been about dragging down the perfect Odinson until he reaches his lowest point, humanizing him. In that sense, his downward spiral is the logical conclusion, and it certainly created doubt as to whether he could beat Thanos in the final battle. That created good tension. Of course the fact that they made his weight problems a joke is gonna rub people the wrong way, and I appreciate that, but let’s not forget, he was still worthy. That’s gotta count for something.
