Clay Matthews 52 Thank you for the memories shirt available. Wow I have to do this again. Thanks for the memories Clay! #52 Packer For life! I don’t often get emotional about the Packers losing players because I know it’s a business. But losing Randall Cobb and Clay Matthews does hurt. A lot of good memories from 18 and 52 throughout the years. What I find funny is the female Packer fans that get sooooooo emotionally attached to any halfway decent player whose been with GB for a while. It’s like a live viewing of the differences of the sexes. All the guys are like “had to go, production to pay ratio was way out of wack”…. The women are “Noooo! Terrible decision!!! I am victimized!!!”

We all knew they were as good as gone, why the hysterics and theatrics? It stings… I think bcuz they are players that connected with us fans and were super productive for so long..but now-not so much. I love Cobb like I loved driver. And I wish everyone could retire a packer but business is business. Clay Matthews a Ram, Cobb a Cowboy. A new Era in Green Bay. Thank you for the memories #52 & #18. Kind of long. But a lesson here. Don’t give up. Keep fighting and you will win. When things aren’t going right make changes. One year ago my son was heart broken. Riley Starcher had battled at the State tournament and in his eyes he had failed. He lost in the first round. He wrestled back to third. Like a champ but still felt disappointed. This summer he decided he needed to make a change. Clay Matthews 52 Thank you for the memories shirt. Big changes lead to big results. A few months after the states he finally wanted to talk about that loss. He said “I feel I needed to lose it all to know how bad I wanted it.” Then he decided it was time to fix some stuff. He stopped hangin with the wrong crowd.

Stopped making wrong choices He quit all of this… because he knew what he really wanted. He has always had great grades and always been respectful and well behaved. He has always been driven and so athletic. We have had this saying since he was in the Great Bridge wrestling room as a 7-8 year old. “Touch the Wall”. I hadn’t ever thought of it any other way than that…it means when you are running your laps don’t cheat. Touch the wall each time around. When you are drilling go to the best of your ability and then go some more. It means don’t cheat yourself don’t complain don’t fake it don’t show off. Just touch the wall.
