I need to get this off my chest… I have been ridiculed my entire adult life for the choices that I have made being a young mother, being a bartender and not living a “normal life”. Here’s a news flash for you!! I AM PROUD… proud of being a young mother to a handsome young man and proud of my accomplishments. I AM PROUD to not have succumb to a sh*tty lifestyle of infidelity, being unhappily married, miserable with 4 kids and having to keep up with the Joneses. I don’t wake up everyday having to wear my pencil skirt, drinking the same coffee, kissing my husband goodbye knowing he’s doing me wrong, sending my children off to daycare where I know they hate being there and then taking a deep breath saying “i just want to quit”.

I wake up everyday knowing that I get to kiss my man every morning because I do love him, I love my job, I love who I am and I ESPECIALLY love watching ALL the young professionals judge me because of my blue hair and tattoos. I get told on the daily “You know, you have so much potential to do much better?” PSSSSSSH Please!! I know what I’m capable of accomplishing and how many 0’s I can add to my bank roll…. but you know what I have that most of them don’t? It’s a thing called HAPPINESS. How many people do you know that can work 32 hours a week, live the way I live (for those of you who know) and travel the world without having to worry about ‘I don’t have enough vacation time’.
So before you decide to judge someone based off of their “job or career choice”, you should consider the smile they carry. While you may make $200k, you’re miserable and I’M ENJOYING LIFE EVERY SINGLE DAY without stress. Love Adult Daycare Director a.k.a. The Bartender shirt. I can die knowing i’ve tried my DAMNEDEST to live life to the fullest and share my experiences with others. I may not be financially rich but I am rich in life. So on that note, I am going to go back to my “non potential” bartending job and prepare for my trip to Antigua this week and my many other vacations coming up.
